Disclaimer

Last Updated: September 8, 2026

This Disclaimer governs your use of https://virtualvetdesk.com (the “Site”) and all consultations, services, articles, and communications offered by VirtualVetDesk (“VirtualVetDesk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By visiting the Site, booking a consultation, or otherwise using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set out below. If you do not agree with any part of this Disclaimer, please discontinue use of the Site and our services.

1. General Information Only

The content published on this Site, including text, articles, images, videos, and any material shared during a consultation, is intended for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for a hands-on veterinary examination and should not be treated as a definitive diagnosis, treatment plan, or professional recommendation for your specific pet. Every animal is different, and advice that is appropriate for one pet may not be appropriate for another.

2. Not for Emergencies

VirtualVetDesk is designed for non-emergency guidance only. If your pet is experiencing a severe, sudden, or life-threatening condition, including but not limited to difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, suspected poisoning, seizures, collapse, or trauma from an accident, do not wait for an online consultation. Contact your nearest emergency animal hospital or in-person veterinary clinic immediately.

3. No Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR)

A veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) is normally established through a physical examination of an animal by a veterinarian licensed in the animal’s jurisdiction. Because our veterinary team is licensed to practice in Pakistan, a formal VCPR under this definition can only be established with clients located in Pakistan. For clients located outside Pakistan, no VCPR is created through use of this Site or through any consultation, and our guidance should be understood as general wellness support rather than a formal veterinary-patient relationship recognized under your local laws.

4. Geographic and Licensing Limitations

Our veterinarians hold licenses to practice veterinary medicine in Pakistan. The scope of the service you receive therefore depends on your location:

  •  Clients located in Pakistan: our veterinarians may provide a complete virtual consultation, including diagnosis discussion, treatment guidance, and, where clinically appropriate, a prescription.
  • Clients located outside Pakistan: Our veterinarians may provide general wellness information, nutrition guidance, teletriage, and behavioral consultation for clients in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. We do not issue prescriptions or diagnose medical conditions for these clients, and our advice does not replace an in-person physical exam performed by a veterinarian licensed in your own region.

If you are unsure which category applies to you, contact us before booking a consultation so we can confirm the appropriate level of service.

5. Accuracy of Remote Assessments

Consultations are conducted remotely by video call, chat, and the photographs, videos, or descriptions you provide. The quality of our guidance depends directly on the accuracy and completeness of the information you share. Certain conditions cannot be reliably identified without a physical exam, laboratory testing, or imaging, and our veterinarians may recommend an in-person visit if a remote assessment is insufficient. We cannot guarantee that a remote consultation will detect every underlying condition affecting your pet.

6. Medication and Prescriptions

Any medication or treatment guidance offered through the Site is issued strictly within the bounds of applicable law. Prescriptions are only made available to clients located in Pakistan, where our veterinarians hold an active license to practice. You are responsible for ensuring that any medication, supplement, or treatment discussed during a consultation is legal to obtain, possess, and administer in your own location, and for following the dosing and safety instructions given by the consulting veterinarian.

7. Third-Party Platforms

Video and chat consultations are conducted through third-party platforms such as Zoom and WhatsApp. VirtualVetDesk does not own or control these platforms and is not responsible for their availability, security practices, data handling, or any interruption, delay, or technical failure that may occur during a session. Your use of these platforms is also subject to their own respective terms of service and privacy policies.

8. Blog, Articles, and Educational Content

Articles, guides, and tips published on the Site are written to help pet owners understand common health, nutrition, and behavior topics in general terms. This content is not tailored to any individual pet and should not be used as a stand-alone basis for diagnosing or treating a specific condition. Always discuss your pet’s particular symptoms or circumstances with a veterinarian, whether through our consultation service or an in-person clinic, before acting on general educational content.

9. Testimonials and Client Experiences

Testimonials and reviews displayed on the Site reflect the individual experiences of specific clients and their pets. They are shared to illustrate how our service has helped others, but they are not a guarantee, promise, or prediction of the outcome you or your pet will experience. Results vary depending on the animal’s health history, condition, and the accuracy of information provided during the consultation.

10. No Guarantee of Outcome

While our veterinarians provide guidance in good faith and to the best of their professional judgment, VirtualVetDesk makes no warranty or guarantee regarding the accuracy of any assessment, the effectiveness of any recommendation, or the eventual health outcome of your pet. Veterinary medicine involves inherent uncertainty, and no online or in-person service can promise a specific result.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VirtualVetDesk, its founders, veterinarians, staff, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Site or our consultation services, including reliance on any information, guidance, or recommendation provided. This limitation does not apply where it would conflict with a duty of care that cannot be lawfully excluded under the laws applicable to a Pakistan-based VCPR.

12. Assumption of Risk

By choosing to use VirtualVetDesk, you acknowledge the limitations of remote veterinary guidance described in this Disclaimer and voluntarily accept the risks associated with relying on a virtual vet consultation rather than, or prior to, an in-person examination. The final decision regarding your pet’s care, including whether to seek in-person or emergency treatment, remains your responsibility as the pet owner.

13. Changes to This Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable regulations, or the regions in which we operate. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date, and your continued use of the Site following any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Disclaimer.

14. Governing Law

This Disclaimer and any dispute arising from your use of the Site or our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of law principles, regardless of the country from which you access the Site.
